1. Create the store
You open a Shopify store, choose or customize a theme, and configure the domain, navigation and essential settings.
2. Add products and inventory
Products, variants, pricing and inventory are managed in the admin. Shopify can also support multiple inventory locations depending on your setup.
3. Configure payments and checkout
You choose supported payment methods and configure shipping, taxes and checkout settings appropriate to your market.
4. Publish and sell
The store can sell through its online storefront and, depending on configuration, additional channels such as social platforms, marketplaces or in-person POS.
5. Operate the business
Orders, customers, analytics and inventory are managed from the platform. Apps or custom development can add capabilities that are not included in the base workflow.
